David's illustration style draws from comic books, folklore bestiaries, and mythological traditions. His goal is not to prove or disprove the existence of cryptids, but to visually interpret what these creatures might look like if they stepped out of legend and into story. Each cryptid in this archive represents a piece of a larger American folklore universe.
